Geranium oil is extracted from the stem and leaves of the geranium plant through steam distillation. It is one of the oils that can help solve dermatological problems such as eczema and oily, congested skin. Geranium oil has astringent properties in which it induces contractions is various parts of the body such as gums, muscles, skin, tissues and blood vessels. It has a pleasant and uplifting fragance.

Caution:

• Pregnant and breastfeeding women are not advised to use as it influences certain hormone secretion which can cause hormonal imbalance in the young. 

• Before applying the oil to your skin, do a 24 hour patch test on small areas of your skin like the arms or back and see if there is any development of rashes or abnormalities.

• People with high blood pressure or have risk of heart attacks should caution using the oil as it causes blood vessels to contract and slow down blood flow.
